Creating Quizzes and Assignments

Build engaging assessments with multiple question types and automated grading.

Create a quiz lesson

In your curriculum builder, click "Add Lesson" and select "Quiz Lesson". Enter a quiz title and description. You'll be taken to the quiz editor where you can add questions.

Configure quiz settings

Set quiz title and instructions. Choose time limit (optional, in minutes). Set passing percentage (default 70%). Set maximum attempts allowed (leave blank for unlimited). Enable "Shuffle Questions" to randomize question order. Enable "Shuffle Answers" to randomize answer options.

Add multiple choice questions

Click "Add Question" → "Multiple Choice". Enter your question text. Add 2-10 answer options. Mark the correct answer with the radio button. Assign point value (default 1 point). Add explanation text that students see after submission.

Add true/false questions

Click "Add Question" → "True/False". Enter your statement. Select whether True or False is correct. Add points and explanation. These are quick assessment questions perfect for checking basic understanding.

Add free text questions

Click "Add Question" → "Free Text". Enter your question. Add model answer or keywords for reference. Note: These require manual grading by you. Good for open-ended questions and essay-type responses.

Preview and publish quiz

Click "Preview Quiz" to see exactly how students will experience it. Test all question types. Check timing. Verify scoring. When satisfied, click "Publish Quiz" to make it available to students.

Create an assignment

Select "Assignment Lesson" instead of Quiz. Enter assignment title, instructions, accepted file types, due date, and submission requirements. Students will upload their work for you to grade manually.
